A performance of the Ancient Animals at the Scene and Heard Festival in the Smock Alley Theatre. This is a song written by Poems Ago inspired by the 11th century Welsh tale of Culhwch and Olwen. It is one song from a 5 piece song cycle called "Shaving Ysbaddaden" Here, the protagonist of the story, Culhwch, must find the Black Witch in the Uplands of Hell and seeks the help from the ancient animals of the land.
